The ing ient imidacloprid works by affecting the flea or tick's nervous system. Because Advantage® works fast and has been found to be ideal for cats suffering from Flea Allergy Dermatitis. Dog.com uses a guaranteed US supplier for this product. Active ing ient: Imidacoprid. Directions: Apply to skin on neck at the base of the skull. Avoid superficial application to the cat's hair. Only one application per treatment is needed. Frequency Of Application: Research demonstrates that Advantage® kills re-infesting fleas within 2 hours and lasts for up to 4 weeks.
